“Plausible Deniability”

A story of greed, regret, and the dangers of human desperation:

A private investigator delves, against his own best judgement, into a case of corporate espionage. As the foundations of his character are tested, he burns through his favors and reputation as his decisions cause tensions to rise, and he must find an escape in a world where “biting off more than you can chew” has no graceful exit.

A science fiction novel-in-progress with blended elements of modern Sci-fi with classic noir and a focus on its characters and the realistic consequences of their choices.

A dialogue exercise:

Can a impactful story be told using only voices? Can characters be real and relatable and distinct based only off of their lines? Can a Thing be written about compellingly without calling the Thing by name?
